Laura Strong

As the creative force behind Studio Strong, I bring together over two decades of experience in interface design, information architecture, and development with a lifelong passion for myth, meaning, art, and energetic systems.

I design and produce websites, applications, and interactive tools that are visually engaging, structurally sound, and symbolically resonant — created to empower purpose-driven individuals and organizations shaping a more meaningful future.

What I Offer:

Systems-Based Design Thinking

Experience has taught me that the foundation of great design is a clear understanding of each client’s needs and their audience. Most projects begin with a discovery phase, where key ideas and priorities are clarified into a strategic foundation. As a large-scale systems thinker, I’m known for my ability to listen deeply, grasp both the big picture and fine details, and help shape clear, coherent frameworks that support design and collaboration throughout the project.

Professional UX & UI Design

From the flow of information (UX) to the final visual interface (UI), I ensure your digital presence is functional, beautiful, and easy to use. My design practice is grounded in contemporary best practices and timeless design principles, giving your project a depth and clarity that resonates across platforms.

Collaborative Production from Vision to Launch

I work fluidly with cross-functional teams — integrating with engineers, leadership, and stakeholders to support seamless collaboration. For smaller projects, Studio Strong offers a range of in-house development services. For larger ventures, I partner with internal teams to move from concept through production to launch. Regardless of scale or complexity, I prioritize visual excellence and technical integrity at every stage of the process.

More About Me

Originally from Cupertino, CA, I’ve lived and worked in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area, and now call the Pacific Northwest home — splitting my time between Whidbey Island, WA, and Eugene, OR. From here, I offer remote design services to clients across North America and beyond.

In addition to my professional training in interactive and visual design (Art Center College of Design, San Francisco State University), I hold a PhD in Mythological Studies with an emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, where I also completed certification in Applied Archetypal Astrology. Continuing to follow my passions, my work is increasingly informed by the intersections of myth, design, quantum systems, and consciousness.

I specialize in supporting clients who are exploring new paradigms — those working at the edges of science, wellness, technology, education, and the arts — translating visionary insight into digital form.

When not designing, I’m often found hiking coastal bluffs and forests, creating visual art, or exploring a multidimensional understanding of reality and its evolving connection to archetypes, healing, energetic systems, and the natural world.

Let’s create something meaningful together!
